Seymour Library Debuts Online Newsletters, Hosts Events

Seymour Library in Auburn announced that its printed newsletters are now available online. The library offers a range of programming including book clubs, live music, lectures, and more.

The library will be closed on Monday, May 26 in honor of Memorial Day.

Adult programming includes a live music event with Joe Sarnicola on Thursday, May 1 at 6 p.m. He will present a musical look back at the 1970s, exploring the people and events of that era. Refreshments are provided by the Friends of Seymour Library, and no registration is required.

Other upcoming performances include:

• Thursday, June 5 at 6 p.m. – The AJHS Chamber Group

• Thursday, July 3 – No concert scheduled

• Thursday, August 7 at 6 p.m. – Ziggy and Miles, in collaboration with the Skaneateles Festival

Additionally, an author talk with local writer Karen Forest Hempson is scheduled for Thursday, May 22 at 6 p.m. During the event, she will discuss her historical fiction book, Shellback, which is inspired by real people from Utica who lived through the Great Depression and World War II.
