Wake County promotes "Furricanes" cat adoptions during Stanley Cup Finals

Wake County Government in Raleigh, North Carolina, is promoting a promotion tied to the Stanley Cup Finals that invites people to adopt a kitten or cat to watch the games with them. The program is described as the "Furricanes," and the animals are said to be cute and sweet and to cheer exclusively for the Carolina Hurricanes. The program notes that a kitten or cat can be brought home for a $5 adoption fee.
