Wake County Schools Honors Project SEARCH Graduates
Wake County Public Schools congratulated the 12 graduates of its Project SEARCH program at Embassy Suites Cary.
Project SEARCH is described as a school-to-work transition program that helps graduating seniors with disabilities gain real-world job experience while completing graduation requirements. The students worked in a variety of roles at Embassy Suites Cary during the school year.
On June 9, students, families, friends, hotel staff, community partners, members of the Wake County Board of Education, Superintendent Robert P. Taylor, and other local leaders gathered at the hotel to celebrate the graduates and their next steps. Wake County Public Schools said Steve Murphy Photography provided the photos.
The district said the Class of 2026 is the largest in the program’s seven-year history. It also said that two graduates have already secured employment, while others are pursuing career opportunities.
Wake County Public Schools posted its congratulations as “Project SEARCH Class of 2026.”
